Interactive
tools.

A whitepaper is easy to ignore. A calculator that tells you exactly what you're wasting is a lot harder to scroll past. I design and build interactive tools that do the selling, keep people on the page far longer, and then quietly hand sales a warm lead. The newest two, both for Author-it, fire every submission straight into HubSpot and Slack so follow-up happens while the prospect is still interested.

Author-it

ROI Calculator

A multi-step calculator that asks about your documentation team, formats and translation load, then hands back a personalised annual savings forecast. Sliders and dropdowns keep it quick, and the full breakdown unlocks when you enter your details.

“The clever bit is what happens on submit: the lead drops straight into HubSpot with all their inputs, and a notification pings the sales team in Slack, so someone can follow up while the prospect is still on the page thinking about it.”

Author-it

Structured Content Challenge

A timed demo that makes an abstract point land. Pick your industry, then race to find the same answer in a wall of unstructured text versus clean, structured content. You feel the difference rather than being told about it, which is the whole idea.

“It doubles as a lead engine and a teaching tool. It shows exactly why structure matters for both people and AI, and routes anyone who's interested through the same automated HubSpot and Slack follow-up.”

How they work

Made to be used, then to convert.

01

Real maths, not fluff

For the calculators I sit down with the people who actually know the numbers first, so the savings figure means something. It's a proper calculation, not a made-up figure, which is a big part of why these tools rank for terms like "invoice ROI" and "content ROI".

02

Built by hand in code

SVG, HTML, CSS and a fair bit of JavaScript. No plugin, no page builder. That means they're fast, animated, and exactly the shape each job needs rather than forced into a template.

03

Wired for follow-up

The point of a tool isn't the tool, it's the warm lead at the end. Submissions flow into HubSpot with every input attached and fire a Slack alert to sales, so the qualifying is done and someone can reach out straight away instead of a week later.

Want a tool that pulls in leads?

A calculator, configurator or demo that ranks, keeps people around, and routes warm leads to your sales team automatically. That's a Cut the Waffle build.
